Annual Budget
The annual budget for FY 2024-2025 for the City of Marion ABC Board has been prepared in accordance with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Laws and Rules of North Carolina 18B-702.
Highlights of the budget include an anticipated increase of 10% in retail sales from the previous year. We will continue to provide only the highest standard of customer service by our outstanding employees (7 full time & 7 part time). We intend to increase our employees’ wages by 3.5% (based on the increase by the City of Marion), continue to pay health, vision, and dental insurance, for our full time employees, and give bonuses at Christmas to all employees. We also plan to increase the board’s contribution to each full time employees 401K to 3%. One of our main objectives is to hire and retain the best workforce possible. We feel we can accomplish this by paying a fair wage and providing the incentive of benefits including insurance, 401K, and retirement. We will also work hard to keep expenses as low as possible and make both stores the best they can be.
Capital outlay items that are needed are lighting for both stores, and a new handheld POS for Store #1 to help the customer experience to be quick and easy.
This document outlines the ways that we will spend revenue to accomplish these goals and provide profits to be returned to our local community benefitting our city, county, law enforcement and alcohol education programs.
